UNC Latina/o Studies Program Presents: poetry books in the age of corona: a conversation with emilio taiveaho peláez, josé felipe alvergue, & orvokki crosby

What is the place of poetry during a global pandemic?
Accompanying the release of emilio’s debut collection of poetry, landskips (words are a hard look), a collaboration with The Concern Newsstand (Chapel Hill), the graduate student shares a (virtual) table with poet José Felipe Alvergue and artist/curator Orvokki Crosby.
With a shared concern for language, this momentary meeting of three transnational voices hopes to serve as a plea for
the formative and transformative power of the printed word.
